Westmoreland Manor is seeking a full-time Cook in our dietary services department for the “AM Float” shift! We are looking for energetic, quick-learners who are able to work in a fast-paced kitchen and cafeteria environment! The pay rate for this position is $15.75/hour. The purpose of this position is to prepare meals for residents. Applicants must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Position requires three years of experience as a cook in a restaurant or institution with emphasis on preparation of special diets; experience in long term care is preferred. Graduation from a technical vocational school in food service or dietary discipline preferred. Further requirements for the position:
Ability to perform mathematical calculations for purposes of concerting and measuring recipes and ordering supplies.
Ability to use dietary equipment including mixers, meat grinders, slicers, VCM, ovens, steamers, etc.
Ability to supervise.
Ability to lift and maneuver weights up to 75 pounds without assistance.
Must have ServSafe Certification or be able to obtain ServSafe certification within 6 months of obtaining the position.
Selected candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment Cook Assessment and lift test and must successfully pass both tests. County residency must be established within 180 days and maintained throughout employment. Position is open until filled. Resumes should be sent to:
