SUSHI COOK/CHEF

The Sushi Cook works on a high-volume, fast-paced, team-oriented, and professional sushi bar. Prepares sushi in a timely manner while working with fresh ingredients and raw fish. Prepares various sushi including maki, nigiri, and sashimi. Consistently prepares and rolls sushi to exact standards following established recipes and plating. Ensures adherence to the highest quality food preparation and hygiene standards. Has a pleasant can-do attitude, especially when under pressure. Works at a fast pace with attention to safety, utilizing basic knife skills and understanding of basic kitchen equipment. Is well versed in a la carte food preparation and sets up a station with limited supervision with a high level of expertise. Communicates concerns and suggestions openly and honestly and takes constructive feedback in a non-defensive manner. Maintains a methodically organized workstation for food production. Possesses an openness and willingness to learn in the spirit of continuous improvement.

Starting Rate: $21 / per hour
