Cook Carefree Living is looking for a Dining Services Supervisor to join our growing and established Assisted Living community. We offer rewarding employment, resident-centered care, a team environment, and professional development with a dependable health care company.nUnder the general direction of the Executive Director, the Dining Services Supervisor is responsible forpurchasing groceries and supplies, ensuring the preparation of nutritious meals and snacks, andsupervising the cooks and dietary aides in order to provide nutritional meals and snacks in a pleasantenvironment thereby meeting the dining needs and desires of the residents.nSCHEDULE: Full-time opening!nWAGE: Starting at $19/hour, based on experiencenPRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:uf0b7 Utilize corporate and alternate menus based on company guidelines, taking into consideration regional preferences. Selectrecipes that are appropriate to the demographic and taste preferences of those served.uf0b7 Ensure groceries and supplies are ordered and stored in an effective and cost-efficient manner.uf0b7 Ensure all meals and snacks are properly and artistically prepared, paying special attention to meet food safety issues (hygiene,proper temperature, etc.)uf0b7 Make sure all residents and guests are served promptly, efficiently and courteously.uf0b7 Maintain a warm, friendly demeanor toward all residents, family members, guests, and prospective residents and be flexiblewith special requests.uf0b7 Monitor kitchen equipment on a regular basis and arrange for maintenance.uf0b7 Ensure kitchen and dining room areas are clean, well maintained and safe.uf0b7 Assist Life Enrichment Coordinator and Manager with special activities and events to ensure food and beverages areavailable as appropriate.uf0b7 Prepare an annual forecast of food, supplies and labor costs to present to the Manager for approval. Manage within budgetsfor raw food supplies and labor costs.uf0b7 Attend monthly safety meetings as directed by the Executive Director.uf0b7 Provide on-going performance management of cooks and dietary aides.uf0b7 Interview, hire, schedule and supervise cooks and dietary aides to ensure sufficient help for every shift and that job dutiesare accomplished; hold regular staff meetings to foster teamwork.uf0b7 Maintain a positive commitment to the philosophy, values, goals, and objectives of the organization.uf0b7 Understand that regular, consistent attendance is necessary to effectively serve our residents and co-workers.uf0b7 Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or executive team.nEDUCATION SPECIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalent. Some advanced training in dietary/nutrition preferred. Successful passing of a formal background check. Serve Safe Certification or the ability to obtain.
