We aim to create a financially sustainable and professional service, which currently includes Early Years Education and Care, Retail Catering, Hospitality and Events. UCSP Ltd are looking to recruit an individual to the Chef de Partie role based within the hospitality team on the main University of Plymouth campus, situated in the Emdeck Building. The role is based within our Hospitality Service and you will be responsible for driving efficient preparation and service of all meals including external events and conferencing as well as fine dining. You will also support the Executive Chef and Head Chef throughout the contract with menu design and food concepts. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual with experience in cooking and working in a kitchen to join the team and create inspiring menus. We seek to use local, fresh, seasonal and sustainable produce in all of our dishes and you must have a passion and drive to produce menus in line with modern food trends. We offer increased annual leave and sickness benefits with length of service and employer pension contributions of 5% This is full-time position working 37 hours per week on a permanent basis. You will have an experience of working in a variety of different styles of catering units, have a customer-focussed mind-set and strive to deliver on and exceed students, staff and visitor’s expectations. You will have a passion for food and be able to demonstrate innovation within our food service offers. You should be able to multi-task with the ability to work well under pressure with experience in high volume production. Patisserie experience would be desirable.
